    Overnight trains: From SWM station to either Katani Junction or SWM to Umaria station. From Katani, the reserve is 100 kms (2hrs) and from Umaria its 35 kms (40 mins) by road.

    ABOUT:

    Located in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh is known for its large tiger population and grasslands along with thick forests. It is also one of the largest tiger reserves in Central India. Photographing a tiger in this habitat includes beautiful backdrops of Sal trees. The forest is divided into three major zones, namely Tala, Magadhi and Khitauli, which are then further divided into specific routes. The reserve is closed for tourists in the afternoons every Wednesday. Due to the large population of tigers, the park boasts of easier sightings and is also called the Tiger Land of India. Tigers in Bandhagarh are large in size and the reserve also has a big population of leopards.

    ABOUT:

    Along with Pench, Kanha is also said to be the forest described in Kipling’s ‘The Jungle Book.’ Home to a rare species of hard ground swamp deer, the jungles of Kanha give you ample opportunities to make images of tigers in swamps, lush green meadows and amidst bamboo groves. The soft and golden grasslands of the meadows create a mesmerizing habitat to track and photograph tigers. In terms of tiger population density, Kanha has always been one of the top parks. The tigers in Kanha are again large and robust in size. The jungle has four tourist zones namely Kanha, Kisli, Sarhi and Mukki.

    TOUR ITINERARY (RANTHAMBHORE + BANDHAVGARH + KANHA)

    DAY 1 (TRAVEL): Arrival at Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve: You will be traveling from Delhi/ Mumbai to Sawai Madhopur. On reaching the hotel, you check in, have dinner and rest.

    DAY 2: You can choose to either do regular safaris or do a full day safari. Regular safaris have fixed timings in the mornings and afternoons, while a full day safari lets you be in the forest for the whole day with the option of driving from one zone to the other and also leaving the park and coming back in. On the contrary, regular safaris are assigned fixed zones.

    If you choose the regular safari, once you are out of the park after your morning drive, you come back to the hotel, freshen up, have breakfast and rest. Post lunch, you gear up for the afternoon safari. If you are on a full day safari, there will be packed breakfast and lunch provided which you can enjoy inside the forest itself.

    After exiting the park in the evening, you come back to the hotel and relax for the rest of the evening and night.

    DAY 3- DAY 4: The 3rd and 4th days of your tour follows the routine of the first day. Depending on your preference, you go out for either regular or full day safaris.

    DAY 5 (TRAVEL): The 5th day is your last day in Ranthambhore. It is also the transit day to the next location. After returning from evening safari, you check out and depart for Bandhavgarh from Sawai Madhopur station by an overnight train.

    DAY 6: Arrival at Katani/ Umaria train Station early morning and by road transportation to hotel. Upon reaching the hotel, you freshen up and rest. You then leave for the evening safari. Once you are back from the evening safari, you relax for the evening and gear up for an early morning drive the next day.

    DAY 7: The day begins early in the morning. Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve also gives you the option of regular or full day safaris. If you choose the regular safari, once you are out of the park after your morning drive, you come back to the hotel, freshen up, have breakfast and rest.

    Post lunch, you gear up for the afternoon safari. If you are on a full day safari, there will be packed breakfast and lunch provided which you can enjoy inside the forest itself. After exiting the park in the evening, you come back to the hotel and relax for the rest of the evening and night.

    DAY 8- DAY 9: The 8th and 9th days of your tour follows the routine of day 7 with daily safaris, depending on your preference of either regular or full day safaris.

    DAY 10 (TRAVEL): Departure for Kanha- Post an early morning breakfast, you leave for Kanha by road and travel around 200 kms (4 hrs 40 mins) to reach in time for the evening safari at Kanha.

    Once you reach the hotel, you rest and leave for the drive at the designated time. Post safari, you come back to the hotel and relax for the rest of the evening.

    DAY 11: After spending your first night in Kanha, the next morning you will leave for your regular safari. On your return from the morning safari, breakfast is served in the hotel and you spend the hours till the next drive, relaxing in the hotel. Post your afternoon safari, you rest at the hotel.

    DAY 12- DAY 13: The 12th and 13th days of your tour will be the same as day 11, with regular morning and afternoon safaris.

    DAY 14 (TRAVEL): On your return from the morning safari on this day, you will check out from the hotel and leave for Nagpur, which is the nearest airport, to catch the evening flight to Delhi or Mumbai. On reaching your preferred city, you will stay overnight. Alternatively, you can also catch an overnight train to wither of the cities, depending on your preference and availability of tickets.

    DAY 15: Drop at airport for your home bound journey.

    2. CORBETT + RANTHAMBHORE + PENCH

    From Delhi- The easiest way to reach Corbett from Delhi is via road. The total distance is 250 kms which will be covered in 6 hrs. Ramnagar, the town adjacent to the park provides good hotel and resort options.

    ABOUT:

    The oldest national park in India, Corbett Tiger Reserve is a beautiful forest with a rich variety of habitats. Nestled at the base of the Himalayas, with the Ramganaga river as its main water source, these forests give you an assortment of landscapes to photograph the tiger in all its glory. The habitats range from wet to dry, mountainous to plain with large grasslands and dense Sal patches. Named after Jim Corbett, the famous hunter turned conservationist, this park offers the unique chance to capture the image of a tiger crossing the beautiful Ramganga in the golden hours. Owing to a large amount of wide spread grasslands, these jungles are also home to the Asiatic Elephant. And if your luck favours you, you can capture the Royal Bengal Tiger and the Asiatic Elephant in one single frame. The forest casts a gripping atmosphere in the winter months, with the mist from the river rising up to cover the forest floor. Due to its placement at the foothills, the light is these forests have been termed as magical. The park has 6 tourism zones.

    From SWM to Delhi by road/ train and then onwards to Nagpur by the evening flight. Nagpur to Pench by road, traveling a distance of 95 kms in 2.30 hrs.

    ABOUT:

    Pench Tiger Reserve is placed at the foothills of the Satpura range in Central India. These forests have a wide range of habitats from dry and deciduous parts to open canopies and valleys. The park gets its name from the Pench river, which flows through it. Being at the foothills of the mountains, the jungles are scattered with small hills and a thick teak forest. This is the other jungle which is said to have inspired ‘The Jungle Book,’ along with the jungles of Kanha. The reserve has a thriving population of tigers and has been the setting for the famous David Attenborough’s BBC film, Tiger- Spy in the Jungle.

    TOUR ITINERARY - CORBETT + RANTHAMBHORE + PENCH

    DAY 1 (TRAVEL): Arrival at Delhi early morning. Post that, you will travel by road to Ramnagar and stay in a resort outside the park. The first evening you relax and rest as the next few days will be spent inside the forest.

    DAY 2: Early next morning you drive to Dhikala zone of the jungle and check in at the Forest Rest House inside the jungle. The drive from Ramnagar to Dhikala will take you through a scenic route along the Ramganga river. You will be driving through long patches of dense forest vegetation as well as a rugged terrain at times. Post your checking in, you freshen up and unwind and the get ready for your afternoon drive post lunch. Upon your return, you spend the evening and night listening to the jungle sounds surrounding you. The Forest Rest House in Dhikala is fenced and has in house elephants in the sheds. This Forest Rest House was built during the British Raj and is the only place in the country where tourists are allowed to stay inside the reserve.

    DAY 3- DAY 4: You leave early for your morning drive, after a hot cup of tea or coffee as per your preference. Once you are back from the drive, you have breakfast at the rest house and then you can either relax or go to the watch tower close by. Post lunch, you leave for your afternoon safari. Once you are back, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest and relax for the night.

    DAY 5: Like the previous day, you leave early morning for your drive. Once you are back, post breakfast, you check out and leave for Delhi by road. You will be staying overnight in Delhi.

    DAY 6 (TRAVEL): You will be leaving early morning for Ranthambhore by road/ train. After checking into your hotel, you get time to freshen up and have lunch before leaving for your afternoon safari. Post your safari, you relax and rest for the night.

    DAY 7- DAY 9: In Ranthambhore, you can choose to either do a regular safari or a full day safari. Regular safaris have fixed timings in the mornings and afternoons, while a full day safari lets you be in the forest for the whole day with the option of driving from one zone to the other and also leaving the park and coming back in.

    DAY 15 (TRAVEL): You leave for Nagpur by road and catch a flight to Delhi. Your tour ends with a drop at the Delhi airport.

The reserve is surrounded by heavily forested hills on two sides and the Tadoba lake on another side. The hills give way to deep valleys, gorgeous meadows and bamboo thickets. The park has one of the highest tiger populations and is divided into three zones namely Moharli, Tadoba and Kolsa.

    DAY 5 (TRAVEL): Your last day at Tadoba will begin early with your morning drive. Once you return to the hotel, you will be checking out and leaving for Pench. You arrive at Pench by evening and retire for the night after dinner.

    DAY 6- DAY 8: These 3 days, you will be doing regular morning and afternoon safaris. Starting your day early with a fresh pot of coffee or tea, you will be leaving for the morning drive. After returning from the morning safari, you have breakfast and relax at the hotel. Post lunch, you will be going for the afternoon safari. Once you are back in the evening, you spend the remainder of the day at your hotel.

    DAY 9 (TRAVEL): On the 9th day, you will be going for your regular safari in the morning. Once you are back, post breakfast, you check out and leave for Kanha by road. You will reach your next location by evening and then retire for the night post dinner.

    DAY 10- DAY 13: The three days in Kanha will be spent doing regular morning and evening safaris. Morning drives will begin early with a hot cup of coffee or tea. Upon your return from the drive, you rest after having breakfast. In the afternoons, you leave for your second safari of the day post lunch. Evenings will be in the hotel where you can rest and relax.

    DAY 14 (TRAVEL): Once you are back from your morning safari, you will be checking out and leave for Nagpur by road (250 kms, 5 hrs). From Nagpur, you take the evening flight to Delhi and stay overnight in Delhi.

    DAY 15: You will be dropped at the Delhi airport for your journey back home.
