About

The Masai Mara is teaming with wildlife action throughout the year. The migration is the most sought-after season but wildlife photography in the Mara is not confined to only this season and goes beyond it too. Post the migration, the tourist pressure reduces and as a photographer you can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time in the bush in the company of the big cats like lions, leopards and cheetahs. The topography and colors of the park changes as per the seasons – for instance the park is lush green during the months of February and March and one can do contrasting wildlife photography as compared to the migration period when the vegetation is very different. In a nutshell barring the river crossings you have enough opportunities to photograph during the off-season and it is a period which is worth exploring as well.
