SNOW LEOPARD EXPEDITION - Ladakh ( Hemis National Park )
Known as the land of high passes, Ladakh gives you the unique opportunity to track and photograph the elusive snow leopard in its natural surroundings. The snow leopard, also called the Grey Ghost, is found in the regions of the Hemis National Park and the Ulley village in Ladakh. The snow leopard trek takes you through remote and mountainous landscapes of these locations. The trek is mostly organized during the winter months between November- March, as these cats come down to lower altitudes in search of prey. SNOW LEOPARD EXPEDITION - SPITI ( Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary )
Nestled in the high-altitude belts of northeast Himachal Pradesh, the Spiti valley is a cold desert mountain valley and is home to some of the most exotic high-altitude wildlife of India. The presence of prey in the form of ibex and blue sheep and the snow-capped mountains and rocky terrains make Spiti home to one of India’s most iconic cats – the snow leopard. In the cold winter months of December to March, these elusive cats descend to lower altitudes in search of prey and this makes Spiti a snow leopard hotspot for photographers and wildlife lovers.
In addition to the snow leopard, the area is teaming with wildlife like the red fox, Tibetan wolves, lammergeier, golden eagle, Himalayan snow cocks, chukars, and some breathtaking landscapes which are ideal of photography in day and night.
