A diverse country harbouring the gorgeous Lake Victoria and the snowy peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains, Uganda is home to many ecosystems. From dense, swampy forests to tall volcanic mountain habitats, Uganda encompasses an incredible biodiversity. Known for its Mountain Gorillas, this trek is specially designed to take you into the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to spend time with these shy primates. This safari will provide a complete wild trekking experience for you in one of the hot spots for gorillas and golden monkeys. You will also have a community experience and enrich your visit with the local culture.

DAY BY DAY

DAY 1

Arrival and overnight at Kigali

Our safari driver will meet you at Kigali International Airport upon youur arrival and after a short briefing, will accompany you to your hotel where you can relax and rest overnight.

DAY 2

Kigali to Bwindi

Post an early breakfast and checking out from the hotel, we will drive tto visit the Kigali genocide memorial grounds, which honours the memory of those who died during the genocide. Post this, we will drive through a magnificent route towards Bwindi where you will catch up with a late lunch and later spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and preparing for the next day’s trekking.

DAY 3

Bwindi

An early morning cup of coffee will begin your day post which we will preepare for the briefing from the Uganda wildlife officials and thereafter enter the jungle to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movements of these primates. Post lunch, we will visit the local to explore the indigenous local life.

DAY 4

Bwindi to Musanze

The morning will be relaxed and post breakfast you can go for a short siightseeing experience for photography. Thereafter, we will drive back to Musanze, with a beautiful view of the rolling hills and several stopovers along the way for some landscape photography and lunch. You can rest and relax upon reaching your hotel.

Musanze is the region around Volcanoes National Park where most of the lodges are located as there is no accommodation within the park boundaries. Volcanoes National Park is famous for its Mountain Gorillas and the shy Golden Monkeys that you will be tracking the next day.

DAY 5

Musanze to Kigali

Our safari driver will pick you up in the morning after your breakfast aand transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing. We will begin the day tracking the Golden Monkeys. We will later return to the lodge for lunch and then head off to Kigali for your dinner and overnight stay at the lodge in Kigali.

DAY 6

Departure from Kigali

Post a relaxed breakfast, we will transfer you to Kigali airport for yourr departure flight.
