The reason Corbett national park and Royal Bengal tigers have become synonymous, despite the rare sighting of the striped cat, is because of the magnificence of seeing the tiger in the picturesque terrain of the Himalayas. Apart from these wild animals, this is also an ideal location for bird photography because of the variety of exotic Himalayan birds that are found in these forests. The major charm of Corbett is the opportunity to stay inside the national park in old forest bungalows now operated and run by the forest department.
