Lake Bogoria National Reserve - Famous for Bird Photography

    Lake Bogoria is in the Great Refit Valley, Kenya covering Lake Bogoria and the land surrounding the lake. Its a saline lake in Kenya, a home to massive flocks of flamingos and is often carpeted in pink, due to the high concentrations of flamingoes. The lake and the area around it, is extremely scenic and full of wildlife and birds.

    Around 470 bird species have been recorded in the region such Little grebe, pratincole, swift, little bee-eater, hornbill and many more. Other mammals in the park includes include greater kudu, buffalo, zebra, cheetah, baboon, warthog, caracal, spotted hyena, impala and dik-dik.

    Lake Bogoria has hot springs and geysers dotted all along its southern shoreline, which makes the journey along the shoreline more exciting.
