He may have been a keen journalist at one time, and even an excellent communications professional consulting some of the biggest global and Indian brands, but Shivang’s heart always belonged to one thing – nature. And it wasn’t long before he decided to make his passion for nature his profession! He discovered his love for photography amidst nature, in the forests of Corbett where he worked in a small campsite in the park outskirts. Soon after, he left the cozy comforts of the corporate offices to work in the thick of the wildlife as Nature Wanderers was formed in 2007.

Mahseer Conservancy President and founder Sumantha Ghosh was shortlisted as a nominee for the Green Hero Award by NDTV for his conservation efforts in Uttarakhand. He started his career at Tiger Tops in the Corbett Area and has since been here for nearly 15 years, in that time he has gained a reputation as one of the finest naturalist of the area.
He was part of the Forest Departments ongoing project of containing the Lantana Weed that grows so readily here. For 5 years he was one of the leading personnel in both the annual tiger and elephant census’s spending months inside Corbett National Park tracking these beasts on foot.
