Amboseli National Park, celebrated for its rich biodiversity and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the world’s highest free-standing mountain. Located about 200 kilometres from the Equator, Kilimanjaro is known for its year-round snow-cap. We’ll spend three nights in this magnificent park to fully experience its incredible wildlife and unique landscapes. This duration allows us to appreciate Amboseli’s distinct ecosystems and observe its famous elephant herds against the backdrop of the majestic mountain.
About Cheetah Tented Camp, Lumo Conservancy (Tsavo)
Nestled in the land of the famous Ghost & the Darkness – Cheetah Tented Camp in the Lumo Conservancy is one of the best kept hidden treasures of Tsavo. An engaging 4 day experience in this location will involve use of the photographic hide where you will be hidden underground and observing and documenting the iconic wildlife of Kenya specially lions, the unique red elephants and a plethora of other species.

10 Aug
Pick from Nairobi and drive to Amboseli. Upon arrival at Amboseli National Park, enjoy morning and evening game drives at Amboseli National park to witness the rich bio-diversity of the park and observe its famous elephant herds against the backdrop of the majestic mountain. Overnight stay at Praro Amboseli Lodge.
11 Aug - 12 Aug
For next two days, we’ll embark on morning and afternoon game drives, immersing ourselves in Amboseli’s vibrant Maasai culture and witnessing the majestic elephant herds set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. During our exploration, we will observe Maasai settlements and have the option to visit a traditional Maasai village. There, we can interact with community members, from the chief to the youngest child, and learn about their way of life. Overnight stay at Praro Amboseli Lodge.
13 Aug
After breakfast we head off for a two-hour road transfer to Lumo Conservancy where you will stay at the luxurious Cheetah Tented Camp by the Soroi Collection. After lunch, we will head out for a short game drive so you can familiarise yourself with the Tsavo terrain, with chances of viewing game, including lions and the famed red elephants. Use the mammal hide equipped with all facilities, including air conditioning, bunk beds, toilets, refreshments and an exquisite system to manage and control the lights for creatively illuminating wildlife visiting the waterbody overlooking the hide. Dinner will be arranged in the hideout where you will spend your first night underground. Overnight in the hide.
14 Aug - 16 Aug
Every morning, you will be picked up from the hide to have a sumptuous breakfast and rest for the day, as there is a high chance that wildlife kept you busy in the hide the previous night. We re-enter the hide in the evening and repeat the underground adventure so you can keep boosting your portfolio of images. Shivang Mehta will conduct extensive photo review sessions during the day breaks, allowing you to have indepth photographic discussions with him.
17 Aug
After breakfast and a proper rest, we shall check out just before lunch and head off to the Voi railway station to board a train back to Nairobi. During this 4 hour train journey you will pass through amazing African open wild lands and there are chances of seeing wildlife like Elephants and giraffes – a scene straight out of the famous movie Ghost & the Darkness where the same railway line was constructed more than 130 years ago! Pick up from the railway station and drop to the airport.
What will this photographic safari be about?
A Nature Wanderers photographic safari has been designed with the prime focus on your photography. Our photographic guide will be giving you hands on training and guidance on your wildlife photography depending on your skill levels – be it for amateurs, beginners and for participants who have been shooting for quite some time.
Nature Wanderers has spent nearly 2 decades in our field locations working with a team of guides, drivers and various other field professionals and together we have all learnt and grown in our field craft. During this photo safari you would be working with the best of field professionals as we value the time you have spared for coming for our program and we want you to derive maximum benefit out of it – be it in terms of your sightings or the overall field experience.
I am just a wildlife enthusiast. Can I participate in a Nature Wanderers program?
Ofcourse, a passion for outdoors, a passion for nature and wildlife is all we are looking for in a Nature Wanderers field program participant. Even if you do not possess photographic gears you are free to register for a program. And who knows during the program, the photography bug bites you and next time we see you armed with a camera to create wonderful memories in the wild!

What are the cancellations and refund policies of this tour?
Cancellation for an event will be considered via a written mail to info@naturewanderers.com. The date of the mail would be considered for the calculation of the cancellation fee.
Payment Terms:
- 50% of the registration fee would be the booking amount. This booking amount is non-refundable
- The remaining 50% of the registration fee should be paid 120 days prior to the tour date.
Refund policy:
- 50% of the remaining fee is refunded if cancellation is done 90 days prior to the event.
- No refund if cancellation is done under 0-89 days.

- Nature Wanderers would not be responsible for the cancellation of the tour due to any unforeseen conditions, such as delay/cancellation of flight, natural calamity, political unrest etc.
Refund policy:
- All bookings need to be done 150 days prior to the tour dates as per government rules and we would need all names and passport details before the same.
- 150-120 days - 50% Refund.
- Less than 120 days – 0% Refund.
