KEOLADEO NATIONAL PARK, BHARATPUR

Keoladeo national park, Bharatpur is one of India's most popular photographic destinations. Also known as Ghana Bird Sanctuary it is home to more than 230 residents and migratory bird species.

Keoladeo has a dense forest cover, which shelters a diverse flora. This vast flora provides natural habitat to these migratory birds and is a haven of free natural perpetuation. Along with various species, there are major counts of sambar, chital, nilgai, jackals and wild boar.

  • Exotic birds such as Sarus crane, Steppe eagle, pelicans, spoonbills, Painted storks, Bar headed geese, wagtails, ducks, flycatchers, and Marsh harriers, etc.

Migratory birds - October to March

Equipment Needed

Lenses above 300 mm would be good for mammals. A 70 - 200 mm or similar focal range would be needed to create habitat perspectives of mammals. For bird photography, a 400 mm and above focal length would be needed.
